At Amicus Sports, we believe there is “an event for everyone” and whether your event is for 10 people or 10,000 people you can be assured quality and integrity.


Amicus Sports can produce an initial feasibility study and prepare a bid document on behalf of event organisers, whether they are small voluntary groups or large corporations. If the bid is successful the Amicus Sports team are able to organise all aspects of the event management - from selection of key personnel through to venue fit out, development of the sports programme, project management of the event itself, legacy planning and monitoring and evaluation.

Urbanathlon 2009

The Urbanathlon is back for it's second year! Teams and individuals will again take part in a unique adventure obstacle race through Sportcity and Phillips Park in Manchester, hurdling fences, scaling walls, getting hosed down by local fire fighters and generally having a great time! This event is aimed at fun runners and with a little effort is well within the reach of everyone. For an entry form click here.


Get Active festival 2009 - Sportcity, Manchester
The Get Active festival is an event for homeless people from across Greater Manchester, giving them an opportunity to access world class facilities and take part in a range of activities from tag rugby and handball through to self-defence, yoga and health awareness.


Manchester Rapid Play Chess Tournament - City of Manchester Stadium

The Manchester Rapid Play Chess Tournament returns to the City of Manchester Stadium for the second time after the great success earlier this year.

Participants will be able to enter in grading classes of U-120, U-160 and Open, with cash prizes avaliable for the winners. Click here to download an application form.

Santa Dash - Sportcity, Manchester
The Santa Dash fun run event was linked to the Christmas lights switch on at Sportcity, with all competitors encouraged to come dressed up in Christmas fancy dress, see the likes of inflatable santa suits, football mascots, referees and even people dressed as presents!


Run 4 Fun - Cornwall
The Run 4 Fun events are fun runs aimed at children and families and are intended to be accessible to all.

The Run 4 Fun - Cornwall was held at St Meriadoc's Primary School in Camborne, with over 250 children and teachers and 60 parents taking part.


North West StreetGames 2008

The North West StreetGames 2008 was a multi sports event held at the City of Manchester Stadium. The StreetGames festival saw over 1,000 young people from across the North West take part in 14 different events ranging from futsal and tag rugby through to StreetCheer, skateboarding and graffiti art.


Urbanathlon 2008

The Urbanathlon was a unique adventure obstacle race through Sportcity, Clayton Vale and Phillips Park in Manchester, which saw over 650 competitors hurdling fences, scaling walls, fording streams and generally having a great time!
